Bah!! It’s 9 and I’ll have school in the morning therefore I shouldn’t be on the keyboard right now but all this sadness around me is dragging my head to my feet!
There is happiness. There’s not such a thing as sadness. It’s what we humans describe the feeling of the absence of happiness. You see that? Feeling.
Feeling might lead to thinking might lead to prejudice
Prejudice is as old as the day Iblis complained to Allah, subhana watala, that he was better than mankind. He based it on the nature of his creation (jinn), claiming that jinn are superior to mankind, similar to racial prejudice today, which is based on the principle that, “whatever I am, is better than whatever you are.”
Do you think Iblis is better than you? No! Truly he is our enemy. How would it make sense to mirror our own villain, when we have the best role model in the universe?
((It’s late and I can’t find the precise English translation but it meant like this))
“Flee from prejudice, because prejudice is actually the most deceitful of words” (HR. Muttafaq Alaih)
Watch your head! Watch what you say! And most definitely, stay conscious.
All praise is due to Allah, The Ever-Seeing and Hearing. May Allah grant us patience and guide us to the straight path..
The hadith of the prophet says; Those that will give up music in this world Allah will call them to one side on the
day of judgement and Allah will say;
“where are those who loved music but for my sake subdued and controlled
themselves, where are those that loved beautiful music but for my pleasure did not listen?”
And Allah will command, “Seperate them”. They will then be seperated and Allah will reward them.
Don’t you want to be in this group of people?
Do you wonder how wide the universe is
Did you hear the birds chirping at dawn
Do you remember the last time you’ve seen your favorite flower
Are there trees that are so tall you think if they’d grow even more, they’d be in the clouds?
Now can you inhale some oxygen
Can you taste the pureness of water
Can you wear your favorite clothing
Can you hug your mother after her busy day?
Concious, my brother! So many people are not given the chance to do these anymore. But don’t be sad! Because they had their time. But you, you still have time.
Time starts, time ends. Can you tell me, when will time end? I’d say Allah knows, while we know not.
Concious, my brother! No time deserves to be wasted. It may end any second of any minute of any hour of any day.
And don’t be sad! Are you sad of the life Allah has given to you? Allah, The Just of All Judges, gives you what is best. Nothing is better than Allah’s will. Don’t you love how Allah made the clouds look like?
And don’t be angry! Are you angry at the life Allah gave you? Are you angry of your compassionate Creator? Subhanallah, He is the same Creator of your mother and father.
A man once came to the Prophet (salAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) for some Nasiha. The man said, “Give me some advice, Oh Rasulullah”. The Prophet (salAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said “Don’t get angry”. The man said, “Oh Rasulullah, give me some more advice.” The Prophet (salAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Don’t get angry”. The man said to give him some more advice, and Rasulullah (salAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said for a third time, “Don’t get angry”.
Concious, my brother! Everything around you is Allah’s rahmat. Be it what you like and what you dislike.
“But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.” [QS. Al-Baqarah/2 : 216]
Concious, my brother! Only in the remembrance of Allah will the heart be assured. So why be angry and sad? Ain’t nobody got time for that!
“It is Allah who has sent down the Book in truth and [also] the balance. And what will make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.” [QS. Ash-Shuraa/42 : 17]
All praise is due to Allah, The Entirely Merciful, The Especially Merciful.
“The biggest advantage in the world is to occupy yourself every time with the most important and beneficial for the hereafter. How can you call it rational to sell Jannah and it’s enjoyment for worldly pleasure that is only temporary?” – Ibnu Qayyim
November — and with it, NaNoWriMo — might be drawing to a close, but fiction writers don’t stop telling stories just because another page is torn from the calendar. And whatever the season, slapping sentences into a compelling narrative is never easy.
We’ve all heard the common axioms recited to writers everywhere: “Write everyday!” “Show, don’t tell!” “Write about what you know!” Sometimes, though, it’s a good idea to try something different to get the creative juices flowing in new directions. Here are five writing tips that might sound counterintuitive at first, but could potentially help you cross a word-count threshold, smash through a writer’s block, or just come up with a new story idea.
